With heavy hearts, yet deep gratitude for a life lived in service to the Lord, the Board of Directors of Shakan Global Mission shares the passing of our beloved CEO and Founder, Roseann Dennerlein. Rosie went to be with her Savior following a tragic and unexpected car accident on February 26, 2026. She leaves behind a legacy of compassion, faith, and spiritual dedication that has impacted countless lives.![]()

Rosie was truly the heart of Shakan Global Mission. Her unwavering commitment to the words of Jesus in Matthew 28:10 — “Do not be afraid. Go and tell my brothers to go to Galilee; there they will see me.” — shaped the mission and ministry she carried so faithfully. Through her obedience to the Lord’s calling, lives were transformed and communities were strengthened, particularly in Jinja, Uganda.![]()

This news has brought deep sadness to many who knew Rosie. She was not only a leader, but also a dear friend and sister in Christ. Rosie was a woman devoted to prayer and a passionate advocate for the vulnerable. Her faith, courage, and compassion touched all who had the privilege of knowing her.![]()

While our grief is profound, we are comforted knowing the work Rosie began was rooted in God’s calling. The Board of Directors is working closely with our dedicated teams in both the United States and Uganda to ensure the mission continues to move forward.![]()

During this time of mourning and transition, we ask for your continued prayers for Shakan Global Mission, our Board, our staff, and the communities we serve in Uganda.
