CHILD SPONSORSHIP OPENS DOORS OF OPPORTUNITIES
Nicodemus, the Program Coordinator for Shakan Mission Uganda shares his story of how one person stood for him after his father died, and he was unable to pay fees.
| THANK YOU to the sponsors who have already committed to supporting children. Would you like to change a life? Sponsoring a child is more than a financial gift to pay school fees. Sponsorship helps to: 1. Prevent child marriages – research shows that child marriages can be prevented if girls get a secondary education. 2. Provide nutrition, since School Meals are often the only meals the child is provided. 3. Empower the community the child lives in – Nicodemus, the Shakan Global Mission program coordinator is mobilizing pastors to participate in a discipleship training program called Truth Centered Transformation, (TCT), which addresses the roots of generational poverty. Over 1,000 communities in Africa and Asia have risen above poverty in the past 15 years through pastors/leaders who have followed the practical, Christ centered principles of TCT. Over 40 pastors in Jinja have already expressed interest in participating in the discipleship training in Feb 2024. Prayers appreciated for similar impact in Jinja, Uganda! |
