Transforming a Child through Educational Supplies and Sanitary Pads

A BIG THANKS to the donors who have funded the school supplies.

When parents have to scrape for school fees, they may not have enough money for the school supplies. The school supplies were a very welcome gift. 

The donations have been used to purchase the required books such as LEADERS and other miscellaneous supplies.

Donations have also been used to purchase sanitary pads for teen girls so they do not miss school. The Busoga Region, where the Shakan Mission Global Center is located, has one of the highest rates of teen girl dropouts. The pads will be distributed at the school next door in the upcoming week.

Transforming the Life of Families Through Jobs and Appreciation

To express appreciation for the long hours and commitment of the workers, a special lunch was cooked by project manager Hannah (with Rosie’s help).

Since this was a new crew, we had an activity where Rosie memorized each of their names. By the end of the time together, they realized that they are important to “The American Boss” and to God.

TESTIMONY — one of the workers shared with a boda driver (motorcycle taxi) how much he felt appreciated by Hannah, and how much he enjoyed working for her on this project.  He continued praising his delight during his entire travel time. Hannah just smiled when the boda driver shared the story.

Appreciation overflows into love for others.
